7 Tips To Nourish Your Body (Not Punish It!) After Overindulging

How do we start to feel energised again after holiday indulging? And how do we go about this without turning to a radical/extreme diet or fitness regime? (These usually come to a messy end sooner than we had hoped anyway!)

Please let go of the temptation to start that diet, we all know they just don’t work. JSHealth is here to support you to feeling your absolute best, no diet needed! And the results are long term. It is a lifestyle you can enjoy and maintain.

First up, remove the guilt you may be feeling and focus on nourishing that beautiful body – no more punishing.

After I’ve overeaten or indulged (which we all do sometimes!), I’m actually incredibly kind to myself. I don’t judge myself or beat myself up. I don’t turn to skinny teas, juice detoxes or extreme calorie counting like I used to – no way, that’s not body love and nor is it helpful in the long run.

Here’s 7 little things you can do to feel good and get back on track in a balanced way. This is what I do too! You will be amazed at how amazing you begin to feel by making the following small changes:

Move your body for 30 minutes a day in ways you love.
A walk in the sunshine, swim in the ocean, barre class or some yoga or stretching at home – whatever makes you feel good!

Start your day with a nutrient packed and protein rich breakfast.
Head to the Breakfast section for some delicious recipe inspiration.

Do my ACV trick to reduce sugar cravings.
Add 2 tbsp of apple cider vinegar into a large water bottle and sip throughout the day.

Stay hydrated.
Drink lots of water throughout the day with added lemon juice and mint. Herbal teas can also be a great choice, look for caffeine free options such as peppermint, lemon balm, ginger, rosehip or dandelion root.

Don’t overdo it when it comes to caffeine.
Stick to one cup of coffee a day before 10am.

Tune into your hunger.
Enjoy healthy snacks throughout the day, don’t try starve yourself between meals. You know my 4-5pm trick! Simple ideas include Greek yoghurt with 1 tbsp protein powder and some cinnamon or 1-2 of my Sugar Free Protein Balls.

Prioritise sleep.
