Healthy swaps you can make today

Eating healthy doesn’t mean deprivation – often, it just means finding smarter ways to enjoy your favourite foods.

  • White bread to wholegrain or homemade gluten-free bread
  • White rice to brown rice or quinoa
  • Refined salt to Celtic/Himalayan salt
  • Sodas and cordials to homemade vitamin water or sparkling water with fresh lemon/lime/cucumber – add some stevia to sweeten
  • Milk chocolate to dark chocolate or cacao
  • White pasta to brown rice pasta/konjac noodles/mung bean pasta/quinoa
  • Potato chips to sweet potato chips/kale chips
  • Gummy bears/lollies to fresh dates filled with nut butter
  • Ice cream to banana ice cream or Greek yoghurt
