I want you to stop trying to change your body shape and ‘fix’ your imperfections. Your body is unique. The fact is, you probably won’t love every single part of your body all the time. But that’s okay. What matters is that you love it as a whole. For example, I’ll always have a weird-shaped stomach, but you know what? It’s a part of what makes me who I am. Instead of getting angry or frustrated by it, I stand in front of the mirror and say, “I’m so lucky to have toned legs and arms, and thick hair.”
Of course it is important to have body goals and if you need to lose weight to feel comfortable in your own skin – of course that’s something I encourage. What I’m saying is – stop trying to strive for perfection. They are two separate things.
We all deserve to feel 100% comfortable in our own bodies and if that means losing some weight – amazing! But when you get to that goal weight – many of us start to nit-pick at imperfections- still not feeling good enough/thin enough/beautiful enough….
Let’s start thinking about what we DO have, not what we don’t.
You will be amazed to see how relaxed your body becomes when you start to appreciate it – which often helps you to make healthier food choices. You need to make peace with your body shape in order to have a wholesome relationship with yourself – for a healthy life.
