Our bodies are made to feel alive, yet in our busy world, it’s so easy to neglect ourselves. Self-care is often the first to go when work schedules and personal commitments become overwhelming.
Caring for my energy doesn’t just help me get through the day, it helps my mental clarity, emotional balance, and ability to show up wholeheartedly.
As the founder of a global vitamin brand, these are my top habits that help me stay balanced and joyful as I connect with our special community, formulate new products, and work across timezones.
I hope this guide inspires you to care for your energy too!
With love,
Jess xx
1. The JSHealth Coffee Rule
Rich in polyphenols, coffee is essential. I drink 1–2 cups before 11 AM to support sustained energy and cortisol levels, as well as circadian rhythm. Sleep is also super important for our adrenal health and overall energy, so we just have to do everything we can to support this.
2. Sauna
This research-supported ritual is my favorite way to reduce stress and increase vitality. While in the sauna, I meditate and practice deep belly breathing (Dr. Joe Dispenza’s technique is my favorite).
3. Prioritize Movement, with Kindness
Endorphins help contribute to increased energy and stamina by boosting mood, which I love! I always listen to my body and exercise according to what feels good. I love adding Lean+ to my workouts, for extra strength and support.*
4. Gratitude
Each morning I mentally say thank you for all of the things I’m feeling grateful for. It’s pretty amazing how this changes the energy for my day ahead! This simple act cultivates a positive mindset and nurtures an abundant heart — making it easier to keep going, even on difficult days.
5. Intentional Nourishment
Supporting my body with the fuel it needs is non-negotiable. I find protein to be deeply satisfying for lasting energy and satiety. Protein, alongside a balance of carbohydrates, fats, and micronutrients, is the JSHealth way.
6. Digital Boundaries
This is so important for a quality night’s rest, as blue light disrupts sleep patterns. Disconnecting around 8 PM is incredibly grounding and allows me to fully recharge. It takes discipline but the benefits are worth it.
