Travel Used To Trigger Food Anxiety – Here Is How I Overcame It

I travel a lot for work. I’ve just recently got back from a work trip to L.A.

While I love travelling and love being able to work in amazing places, travel usually triggers food & body anxiety for me.

Being out of normal routine and my comfort zone used to be so hard for me. I found that since I’ve been away this time around, I’ve had WAY less negative food and body moments. I have to say, I’m so proud of this. I feel so FREE.

This is what I think has helped:

  • I’ve been following my JSHealth Body Love practices daily. Removing the pressure on myself to do it all perfectly. You can find these Body Love exercises in my online Program here.
  • I’ve been committed to kind body movement, rather than intense exercise. That means yoga, Pilates or a simple walk in nature.
  • I’ve been eating slowly and intuitively without any judgement.
  • I wake up with a mentality based on kindness and respect for my body, and make choices based on this. Oh and I refuse to ever be on a diet again!

I know that a lot of people struggle with their relationship to food and their bodies, it was a huge issue for me and one that I sometimes still need to work on. I want to say that you’re not alone, and you can heal this! Start with kindness and take small steps.

So here for you.
