My Skin Journey

In my mid-30s, I began noticing subtle changes in my skin, a natural part of the journey we all go through. For me, it showed up in a loss of hydration, firmness, and overall luminosity. I truly believe we are beautiful at every age, and I simply saw this as a sign to care for my skin a little more, focusing on maintaining its health in simple, supportive ways. By leaning into daily rituals that work with my body, I’ve noticed such a positive shift and I’d love to share them with you.

Here’s what I’ve implemented to achieve a healthy, radiant glow. I hope these tips support your own skincare journey and connect to your natural beauty too.

1. Marine Collagen Daily

As a nutritionist, I’ll admit I didn’t always believe in collagen. That was until I saw the science behind hydrolyzed marine collagen, specifically, a 3g daily dose shown in research to be effective for age-defying benefits. I’ve experienced the best, most consistent changes in my skin from ingestible skincare. Not all marine collagen is created equal. 2. Oily Fish For Omega-3s

3. Targeted Eye Care

4. Essential Hydration

This one is simple but profound: 2 liters of water every single day. It really shows up in the skin, which is a thirsty organ! I also love to make hydration feel enjoyable by drinking herbal teas throughout the day and adding fresh fruit or herbs to my water, like lemon, cucumber, or mint. These small touches make it easier (and more delicious) to keep up the habit.

5. Consistent Sleep Rituals

It’s called “beauty sleep” for a reason. Sleep is so important for skin health and general well-being. I treat it like a ritual, calming my mind, keeping a consistent bedtime routine and creating a restful environment. My evening routine is a non-negotiable (including my 8pm social media switch-off) because it signals to my body that it’s time to unwind and rest deeply. The difference in my skin (and energy) when I sleep well is undeniable. Start with one simple ritual tonight and see how you feel.

6. Facials Twice A Year & Effective Skincare

I believe taking care of our skin is a real act of self-love. The skin is our largest organ after all! I love getting facials to help deeply cleanse, exfoliate, and hydrate the skin. However, I don’t overdo it. A professional facial twice a year feels just right for me. It gives my skin a reset without overwhelming it. 7. Drinking My Greens
