Choco Cinnamon Milkshake

I grew up loving milkshakes and this is the perfect healthy alternative.

Rich in: 

Cacao- high in magnesium and a potent antioxidant- protects us from free radical damage. If you are a choc lover, start getting into cacao- a  better option for you my loves!

Cinnamon- blood sugar stabiliser and anti-inflammatory.

Avocado- natures superfood- rich in many vitamins and minerals, carotenoids. a good source of fiber, omega 3’s and 6’s- Amazing for skin, brain and heart health.  Also a powerful antioxidant. I cant get enough of it!

Craving something thick and creamy??  Give this a go! A nutrient rich treat.

 

Ingredients:

  • 2 heaped Tbsp. raw cacao powder
  • 1/4 Avocado
  • 2 tbsp. Greek yoghurt (optional)
  • 1/2 frozen banana
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • pinch of nutmeg
  • 1-2 Tbsp. raw honey/maple syrup/stevia
  • dash of sea salt
  • 1. 5 cups of of milk – I use almond milk
  • Cup of ice cubes

 

Method:

Blend all the ingredients together in a blender; add water to thin if desired. I love to top mine with some crushed walnuts!

    Sounds delish Jess! Can you substitute the honey for rice malt syrup? What is your take, health wise, on rice malt syrup? I react badly to honey, sadly!
