From Vision to Reality: How I Manifest My Dream Life, Part I

So often I’ve been told, “You are so lucky. How did you get this/that/the other?”

There are some things in life we are more fortunate to have than others, of course. We are all blessed with certain talents, abilities and surroundings. This is a fact of life. However, we also have the choice and freedom to be the masters of our destiny. 

Remember that. You create your own life. YOU are in control.

But I believe something more powerful is going on in my life. I truly believe all I am receiving and have received is because of my vision and the very simple law of attraction. I am slowly but surely manifesting my dream life into a reality – and it kind of freaks me out sometimes. I put something out there, I vision my dream, and it comes alive. It’s as simple as that. It does require work and attention, though. Hard work is always required.

I am putting this out there with the intention to share with you how you, too, can create all that you desire. I don’t want you to get the wrong impression about my intention here – it’s not about what I have or what I want. This post is about the power of the mind. Our thoughts and beliefs manifest into reality. They really, truly do. I only recently began to understand this. I want to show you how…

  • I meditate on the life I want to create each day and, incredibly, it comes true.
  • I believe in the power of positive affirmations and try to start my day with them in mind.

When I look back on my life just a few years ago, I see that I was creating my life then too. I wasn’t in a healthy frame of mind. Everything was hard. Everything was a challenge. This was my day-to-day mentality, and I continued to attract “hard” and “challenging” situations.

This is the law of attraction at work. I wasn’t living my dream life at all, and I was holding onto incredible amounts of stress. It is my belief that when we hold on emotionally, we hold on physically. Stress will always stop us from achieving our best state of health. I believe this is a huge reason why my weight kept creeping up. I was holding onto emotional – and physical – baggage.

Now, my living mantra is let it go. LET IT GO.

Now, being in a healthier frame of mind, after lots of self-healing, counseling and education, I have shifted my mentality. I now believe my thoughts will create my reality so I take very seriously what I say and what I think. I am more careful. I know if I state, “I will not get that job,” it is likely I will not get it. I also know if I envision my dream home, for example, and imagine myself living in this dream home, and BELIEVE I can have this dream home one day, it will happen. It has happened.

You can live the life you have always wanted. 

You just have to DREAM it and BELIEVE you are worth it. Focus on those two words for me.

When exactly do I practice this manifestation?

Our body listens to our thoughts and feelings. This is quantum physics. We are manifesting those thoughts and beliefs physically (without even realizing it). When we constantly tell our bodies they are “fat” or “ugly” or “not good enough,” we manifest bodily stress. It will physically cause a cascade of issues. On top of this, our bodies start to believe these feelings are true!

This is what I realized, and this is what I put in to practice. I will be back with part two to explain exactly how these manifestations became reality. In the meantime, I want to know what YOU have been waiting for. The time is now. What will you manifest in your own life?

    This is a really great subject Jessica! I’ve had experience with this in my life, im sure my friends think me strange when I try to explain it to them. I personally need to work very hard on my thoughts and feelings as I can be quite negative & there are dreams I would like to become reality but I do lack the self confidence to even start the small ones.

    I’m wanting to manifest a new job – better, a dream job as well as abundance.
    Thanks so much for part 1 – I’ve read a lot about manifesting but feel like everything falls short of actual steps to take. Are there prases or affirmations you include in your daily meditation? Is it constantly reminding yourself to tune into the energy of the universe?

  • Hi, I have just come across your website and am now addicted to reading all your posts, so awesome! This post however I struggle with. Perhaps you can shed some light for me. The problem I have with it is; that if you believe in the power of your thoughts, it makes any bad thought you have very scary. I grew up with my mother always telling me, if you think it, you’ll get it. But you don’t have control of your thoughts. You have control of your feelings and your actions. Thoughts come and go, and theres no rhyme or reason to them. Say if I thought I was fat, then I’d beat myself up about thinking I was fat because by thinking it (according to the above article) then it was going to come true. When I realised that actually it was just a thought, and it had no power, it was such a relief. Every time I have a thought that I am fat and ugly, I find comfort in the fact that its just a thought… what will make me fat and ugly is overeating…not the thought. I don’t know, maybe I’m just confused. I just hope people don’t take this kind of thing to literally. In my humble opinion actions are the most powerful thing, and something we have more control over than our thoughts. 🙂

    I have been able to build a successful business through visualization and heal not only myself
    but others through meditation, there are many levels but I believe the most powerful and effective is through love, you must “go in” with this awesome energy that is the foundation of giving to yourself and others. Your body dose listen cells can record! your thoughts and emotions do sway you one way or another but ultimately the answers are within.
