Smoothie bowls like this are one of my favourite ways to easily and quickly pack a bunch of nutrients into a meal. Full of satiating healthy fats from avocado and almonds and antioxidants from the raw cacao – this delicious and indulgent smoothie may be the easiest way to sneak an extra serving of greens into your day! It seriously tastes like a bowl of choc-mint ice-cream… This is what healthy indulgence is all about!
Ingredients
Serves: 2
- 1 avocado
- 1 banana, frozen and chopped
- 3-4 tbsp raw cacao powder
- 2 tbsp almond butter
- 1 cup almond milk
- Big handful of baby spinach
- 4-6 fresh mint leaves
- 2 drops of vanilla stevia or 1 tsp maple syrup (optional)
- 1/4 cup cacao nibs
- 1 fresh banana, sliced
Method
- Add avocado, frozen banana, cacao powder, almond butter, almond milk, baby spinach, mint and stevia or maple syrup (if using) to a blender.
- Blend until smooth.
- Spoon into two bowls and top each bowl with cacao nibs and sliced banana.
