Recipes Inspired by Cultural Cuisines

28 July 2025

Some of the most delicious meals I’ve created have been inspired by cuisines from around the globe — whether it’s the fresh produce of Italy, the bold flavors of Morocco, or the vibrant colors and textures of Mexico.

The best part? You don’t need to travel the world to mix things up in the kitchen. I love experimenting with new recipes to keep things fun and fresh, and to make sure our bodies are enjoying a wide diversity of nourishing foods.

Enjoy,

Italy: Cherry Tomato Pasta

As the Italians say – Spaghetti al Pomodorino Fresco. I just love that Italian cuisine heroes staple ingredients cooked with love! Some of my favorite memories are spending European summers with Dean along the Amalfi Coast, swimming, relaxing, and enjoying deliciously simple food.

This is one of our viral JSHealth recipes that I always come back to. There’s a deep respect for quality ingredients and balance in Japanese cuisine, which really speaks to me. Enjoy this Japanese-inspired marinated salmon with sweet soy, served over a simple kale fried rice.

Greece: Air-Fried Greek Chicken Bowls

Greece is one of my favorite destinations to travel and I’ve long admired the Greek way of eating: fresh, shared meals as a true celebration of food. This bowl reimagines Mediterranean flavors with herbed chicken, quinoa, veggies, and of course — creamy tzatziki and feta.

Inspired by bold Moroccan spices, this dish brings together warmly spiced lamb with a refreshing salad base of cucumber, tomato, parsley, kale and couscous — reminiscent of classic tabbouleh. It’s finished with pomegranate and currants to transport you to colorful Marrakesh.
