The perfect ‘sleepy time’ bed tonic. I love to enjoy this before I get into bed. The ingredients are calming and restorative.
Ingredients
- 1 cup Almond or coconut milk
- 1/4 cup almonds
- 1 tbsp maca powder
- 1 tbsp raw cacao powder + extra (to serve)
- 2 fresh dates, pitted
- 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon + extra (to serve)
- 1/4 tsp ground cardamom
- a pinch of sea salt
- 1 tbsp virgin organic coconut oil
Method
1. Bring the milk to the boil in a stainless steel saucepan over a medium heat. ONce boiled, reduce to a simmer for 3 minutes. Turn the heat off, add the remaining ingredients and stir well.
2. Add this warm mixture to your high-powered blender and blend.
3. Pour into your favourite mug, sprinkle with a little extra cinnamon or raw cacao powder and sip away!
