“I am good enough, just as I am”
I truly believe negative self-talk is more harmful to our health than any bad food choice.
I us to be a self-loathing, self-doubting mess.
My days were either ‘good’ or ‘bad’, and they revolved around food. I weighed myself incessantly. If I liked the number on the scales, I’d congratulate myself. If the number had crept up, I would bury myself in self-loathing.
I would feel like a failure.
So of course, I’d end up bingeing and then, wallowing in guilt – which I now know was worse for my health than the junk food itself.
Negative self-talk is a silent stress but luckily, it can be reversed through the power of positive thinking.
Look at yourself in the mirror and say “I love and care for my body, and it cares for me. I am good enough”.
Instead of hating on your body, love and respect it.
Nourish your body with delicious wholefoods, drink plenty of water, and exercise often.
Love your body this way, and it is so good to you in return.
