I absolutely love being treated to a delicious meal out with my hubby, besties or my beautiful fam! I love cooking my food more than anything but sometimes it’s nice not to have to worry. It’s still possible to eat and actually enjoy nutritious meals at cafes and restaurants. Here are some of my favourite Sydney Cafes!
Lox stock and Barrel
This place definitely ranks as one of my favourites. You will find me here most weekends. Their approach to food is that it should be healthy, delicious, and as close to farm-to-table as possible. I love ordering eggs with a side of tomatoes, mushrooms and their delicious gluten-free quinoa seed bread.
I love this little Israeli inspired local cafe! I order the same thing every single time 🙂 You can choose a base salad and then add a lean protein with a slice of sourdough. Can’t forget the hummus! I love the iceberg salad with grilled za’atar chicken.
Field to Fork
This is my absolute go-to when I’m feeling like I need that extra dose of iron! All their meat and poultry are ethically raised and sustainably farmed. I order the naked grass-fed beef burger that comes with lettuce, tomato, relish and pickles. And of course, the sweet potato wedges!
My favourite gem in Double Bay! All their food is produced to reflect the best of Sydney’s local markets. I love ordering a whole lot of sides! What to order:
- Roast butternut pumpkin, tahini, dukkah crumb, crumbled feta
- Heirloom carrots, coconut labneh, hazelnuts, kale
- Grilled Salmon with cauliflower, currants, sumac onion, walnuts, coriander, tahini yoghurt
My team and I love coming here for team dinners! They cook creative Middle Eastern style dishes. As you can probably tell by now, this is my favourite cuisine! They place emphasis on using seasonal produce and grass-fed, hormone-free meats from local and credible butchers. We can’t come here without ordering their famous brussel sprouts and lamb kofta.
This is a new Japanese place that I have just fallen in love with! I love ordering their nourish bowl and salmon crunch bowl with a side of garlic edamame. Delicious!
This modern Israeli style casual eatery is located in the heart of Rose Bay. I love this spot for their incredible wholesome bowls and salads. My favourites are the cauliflower salad with Za’atar chicken and of course, the JSHealth bowl.
Kepos & Co
This menu is inspired by wood-fired oven Mediterranean dishes with a focus on seasonal vegetables. I go here for the lamb shoulder, fried cauliflower with almonds, tahini and dukkah, the warm hummus made in a mortar and pestle right in front of you and the wood-fired barramundi.
I love their baked cauliflower with babaganoush and cranberries, the roasted chicken with baked sweet potato and homemade hummus with falafels (pictured above!).
Rose Bay Hotel
This place has just renovated and revamped their menu! Oh my gosh is an understatement. My hubby and I love ordering their organic chicken, coconut and chilli curry.
You all know I need and look forward to my one per day coffee. Rocco’s is my place! Not just for the coffee but for the family vibe they have. Not to mention the extra chocolate they put on my cappuccino!
This little Italian gem knows how to make a mean coffee! I love sitting here and then grabbing a scone from the bakery next door to enjoy with my coffee.
