The Power of Visualisation – How to Attract What You Want in Life!

As one year ends and another begins, many of us treat the new year as a time of reflection.

When contemplating the year thats past, many of us create New Years resolutions, hoping to help shape a happier and more accomplished year to come.

I would have to say one of the most important realisations I have had over the past few years is this….

You can have the life of your dreams – you just have to know you’re worthy of it.

Not only does every single person deserve their dream life, they can also help create it.

How?

Through the power of visualisation.

Years ago when I began my healing process, The Gabriel Method made me realise that we manifest our thoughts physically, often without even realising.

The solution? Think positive, beautiful thoughts

It so important to visualise your dreams.

Every night before bed, I imagine myself living my dream life.

I believe I will manifest these thoughts into reality.

Striving for your dream body?

Visualise the body of your dreams each night before bedtime and say the affirmation, “my body loses weight with ease” as you do.

Visualisation rituals such as these not only help to keep you focused, they also create positive impressions on our subconscious.

As explored in previous posts, one simple but powerful technique I have used to create my dream life is through the construction of a vision board.

A vision board is a tool that manifests your dreams into reality by activating the Law of Attraction… and it really works!

It consists of a poster or foam board of cut-out pictures, drawings and phrases of the things that you want in your life, or the things that you want to become.

In fact, Oprah Winfrey and many other highly successful people have used this technique for generations!

I made a vision board about two years ago – placing phrases and pictures of things I wanted to achieve onto a black board. I kept it on my desk, so that everyday when I walked through my room I would glance at my goals and dreams. Now looking at it 2 years later, I can truly tell you that 80 or 90% of the things I placed on the board have become my reality!

So – how do you create your own vision board?

Take some time to sit quietly and think about what you want most out of 2015 – and life in general.

Start cutting out images and phrases of the things you love – and want to see in your future – onto the cardboard in any way, shape or form. You can be as creative as you desire! Then place it in a position where you will be able to view it each day.

I truly believe that visualising how your life could be is key to achieving our dreams. It is through the practice of visualisation that we can make positive impressions in our minds to help achieve our wildest dreams.

My advice for 2015?

Instead of living a life shaped by circumstance – live a life you created.

  • Thanks Jess. I love putting vision boards together. The last one I did I shared the experience with my little daughter. It was such a fun thing to do together. I also like to do visualisations. I have a practice where I meditate in the morning and do visualisations before bed.
