While I loved having a little kitchenette in my Los Angeles apartment to do a little cooking, I have to admit – the lure of LA’s incredible food scene was impossible to resist! I tried to make most of my breakfasts at home, but when it came to lunch and dinner – the dining experience was like none other! After a month in LA, I found some favourite spots that I just have to share with you.
My Top 10 Favourite Dinner Spots in LA:
Il Pastaio – The best casual Italian place in Beverly Hills, from incredile chef Giacomino Draco. I loved the vegetariana salad with shrimp + side of sautéed broccoli.
Madeo – Everyone knows this Italian classic in West Hollywood is my favourite dinner place in LA – and it’s not necessarily a “health” restaurant! The ambiance, waiters, red wine and steak just makes me happy. (And the broccoli side is insane – have to get my greens in somewhere!)
The Nice Guy – I love the vibe here – the restaurant evolves into more of a club scene as the night progresses. My favourite side dishes are the brussels and cauliflower – so yum!
Sugar Fish – With locations all over LA, including Beverly Hills, Brentwood, Calabasas, Downtown, La Brea, Marina Del Ray, Santa Monica and Studio City, it is the freshest sushi I’ve found.
Osteria Mozza – I just love the food here. Most recently I had the white fish and was perfection. It’s a restaurant co-owned by chef Mario Batali, so you know it’s going to be amazing.
Cecconi’s West Hollywood – Love, love, love. Love it for lunch AND dinner, in fact. I had their green broccoli dish, eggplant and salmon – all divine.
Craig’s – A vibey Italian spot that’s a West Hollywood classic. You’re sure to spot a celebrity – and have a delish meal, too.
Ysabel – Beautifully done. Gorgeous ambiance at this West Hollywood eatery. It’s the perfect place to go on a Saturday night with your friends.
Cleo Hollywood – Amazing Mediterranean food! Great vibe – and amazing Brussels sprouts, because you know I love my cruciferous veggies!
AOC – This great casual dining spot is also a wine bar! I loved their chill vibe (and fireplace). Their quinoa salad was delicious, and they offer lots of great salads and small plates for sharing with a group.
