7 Easy Ways To Get Nutrients Into Your Day Without Even Trying

With a few simple swaps and delicious daily editions, it can be easy to add extra nutrients into your day.

 

Here are a few of my favourite ideas for an added serving of goodness:

 

  1. Ensure half your plate if fresh greens or veggies. This instantly adds nutrients to your day. Try your local farmers market for fresh produce that’s affordable and seasonal.
  2. Aim to have one fresh green veggie juice a day. I like to have mine mid-morning and with only a little green apple to sweeten.
  3. Sneak veggies into dinner casseroles, soups and curries. There are a bunch of yummy recipe ideas in my second book.
  4. Start your day with a smoothie. It’s such a great way to get a whole lot of vitamins, minerals and fibre in first thing. Try the JSHealth Power Protein Smoothie with an extra handful of baby spinach or kale!
  5. Ensure you always have a big water bottle in front of you at work or home so that you can sip it throughout the day.
  6. Spend 1-2 hours on a Sunday or Monday prepping your fridge and pantry. This sets you up for a wholesome week ahead. You can find my top tips for healthy meal prep here!
  7. Aim to make 1-2 small dietary changes a week – don’t overwhelm yourself with trying to do it all. For example, swap your potato mash for cauliflower mash or white rice for brown rice. These simple swaps can make such a difference to your overall health!
