Winter has definitely arrived here in Australia! Winter is the season that I tend to nourish my mind and body even more than usual. I’m more inclined to cook at home, enjoy earlier nights (yay for more sleep) and eat out less. This is a great time to experiment with some easy and wholesome JSHealth meals that will support your body through the colder months. These meals are packed with nutrients that will also keep your immune system strong!

Below are my personal go to JSHealth meals that I love to make in winter. The best bit is they are all meal prep friendly! Simply double the ingredients where necessary and enjoy throughout the week.

Hope you love them as much as I do!

Chicken Noodle Soup (pictured above)
Who doesn’t love a hearty bowl of chicken soup! This is our version of what truly is a classic winter warmer. We’ve added some broccoli for extra green goodness and plenty of fresh lemon. This recipe is fast becoming a community favourite and can be found in the JSHealth app.

Lentil & Cauliflower Curry
Curry in a hurry! The idea of cooking a curry can sometimes seem overwhelming due to long and complicated ingredient lists but not this recipe. We’ve keep it simple and used onion, coriander stalks, turmeric and curry powder to add plenty of flavour. Like your curry hot? Add some fresh chilli! The full recipe can be found here.

One Pan Cajun Chicken & Roasted Veg
Another one of my signature one-pan meals. Double the ingredients to make enough for lunch the next day! Find the recipe here.

Mushroom Chilli
Whilst I love a traditional Chilli Con Carne, this vegetarian version is packed with fibre and is a great way to get in some extra veg. Chop the mushrooms in a food processor to create a mince-like texture that will be adored by vegetarians and carnivores a-like. Full recipe can be found in the JSHealth app.

Bolognese with Zoodles
Bolognese is the perfect meal prep dish as it always tastes even better the next day. You can find my simple Bolognese recipe here. There is also a Lentil Bolognese recipe in the app and a cooking video to go with it so you can make it step-by-step with me to guide you.

Herbed Chicken Schnitzel
My gluten-free chicken schnitzel is adored by both adults and little ones. It’s also a fun way to get kids involved in the kitchen. You can use chicken breasts or tenderloins to make bite sized strips! Find the recipe here.

Slow Cooked Chicken Curry
There is nothing better than chucking a handful of ingredients into a slow cooker and leaving it to simmer away while you get on with the rest of your daily tasks. This slow cooked curry is a great meal prep option to throw together on a Sunday and enjoy for the next few days. The recipe can be found in the app.
